Techno-Aide manufactures radiation protection apparel in Nashville, Tennessee. Our complete line of lead and lead-free aprons, vests, skirts, and thyroid shields are trusted by radiologists, technologists, and imaging professionals across the U.S.
Every garment is constructed with the highest-quality lead or lead-free attenuating material and sewn to exacting standards at our US facility. Our lead-free Bilayer is the only lead-free core material to pass IEC 61331-1:2014, DIN 6857-1, and ASTM F2547-06 standards at a lower weight than conventional alternatives. Testing was conducted independently at the National Physical Laboratory in the UK.
IEC 61331-1:2014 is the only standard that tests for fluorescence, or scatter radiation, reaching the wearer. Our Bilayer passes it. Most lead-free aprons do not.
